Now That's Impressive!

It's only been 100 days but I really admire Bam Bam. Opps! President Bam Bam!

Well, doesn't his Harvard Law degree impress you? Doesn't it impress you that he comes froma single parent home, that he is Bi-Racial, and doesn't let bigotry blind him?

Yeah, those things are cool. I guess.

You guess, Mista Jaycee?

Um, Hummm!

??????
YOU MEAN THE FACT THAT HE INHERITS A HUGE DEFICIT, A BORDERLINE DEPRESSION, TWO WARS!, THAT'S TWO! AND A BANKING SYSTEM THAT'S ALL ON THE VERGE OF COLLAPSE AND HE SEEMS TO TAKE IT ALL IN STRIDE REMAINING COOL AND COLLECTED AND STILL PROPOSES NEW IDEAS AND SOLUTIONS WHILE REACHING OUT TO POLARIZING AND HATEFUL RIVALS! THAT DOES NOT IMPRESS YOU MISTA JAYCEE?

................

WELL?

.........................................

no.

WHAT? Cough! Sputter! Cough! Cough! What????????????

i said......no.

Why not? Cough! Cough! Ack! Ack! Ack!

Cause having those kinds of qualifications and having that kinda of courage should be the starting point for an American President.

W. Bush went to Yale but he was only a Yalie in name. Did anyone really believe he was qualified? No!

There may be some but I think most folks, me included, believed he got where he was including Yale cause of his name, not qualifications.

What impresses me about Bam Bam, oops! President Bam Bam! is that President Bam Bam is married to a fine Sista. His former Legal mentor is now his WIFE and the MOTHER of his CHILDREN!

He's Got TWO DAUGHTERS!

I got ONE DAUGHTER and it ain't easy to have a DAUGHTER!

Yeah, so you fixed the economy, opened up relations with CUBA, cool but you stayed married and faithful and raise TWO DAUGHTERS....

Now, That's Impressive!

Playin Catch Up!

I've just come off five wonderful days vacationing with my Wife. It was cool. My daughter is out of town visiting her Grandma and the Wife and I have been exploring. First, we went to the Long Beach Grand Prix then later that day, we went to San Pedro. Now, other than going to a friends house, and the Cabrillo Museum, I have never been to San Pedro even though I live less than five miles away.

I'm a Compton kid (Hub City) but have lived in the Harbor Area for over 15 years. My wife took me to Ports O Call to the fish market. The food was wonderful! Now, I do not eat Shrimp!

Ewww!

Ewww!
Mrs. Jaycee's people hail from the Sportsman's state of Louisiana and well she can eat everything! So she was sooooo coool with the Shrimp!

But OOOOOOOh Helllllllllllllllll Yeah! The Talapia was great! Fresh Fish or Fresh food period is great! I have never had fish this fresh and the taste was sooooo good!
I would implore you to try it! Yesterday, we went to the movies and saw Monsters Versus Aliens! And before that we went to the Long Beach Museum of Art! Now, I used to walk and try to run on the beach right below the Museum and again, Local dude but never went to the Local Museum. I went to MOCA, the Museum of Latin American Art and it's cool but my point is.
See the local stuff before you travel. You may be missing out!
Anyway, I had alot of fun with my Wife. I will post pics later.

Why Can't Great Gas Mileage BE SEXY?

One of the Sexxxiest Cars ever made The 1976 Chevy Corvette Stingray

Yesterday, My Wife, my friend, and I went to the Toyota Long Beach Grand Prix. Mista Jaycee received Tickets from a real nice Fella who blessed me with two premium tickets. We walked the grounds, entering the Long Beach Convention center and checked out the Automobile exhibits. Now, just so y'all know....I love certain types of cars. The 64 Impala, the Super Sport, The 85 Olds Cutlass, the 83 Buick Regal, the 68 Camaro, the 64/65/70 Mustang! The Cadillac Northstar STS! The 78 Mazda RX-7 the 76 Stingray Ohhhhhh Yeah! But I wouldn't say that I'm a car buff.

1970 Ford Mustang

Mista Jaycee, Aren't all those cars kinda like Gangsta cars?

1968 Chevy Camaro

Well, I'll give you that on the 85 Cutlass and the 83 Regal. Both GM cars by the way! And the 54 Bel Air but so what! Ohhhhh they're soooo pretty!

The 54 Bel Air is a thing of beauty. Now as I strolled the show exhibits I dug the SMART Car and a few of the new economy cars but I feel like the auto industry is still trying to CON us. Why can't we take the shell of a Regal or a Super Sport and put in an engine that will run on clean fuel and give great gas mileage?

Bomba! 1954 Chevy Bel Air

Great gas mileage is defined as 45MPG not 24 or 33 highway or any of that nonsense! How about 45 to start? All the cars I saw with the exception of a few race cars were these super compacts. Now, the 1980 Honda Civic was small and egg shaped but it was a great running car.
That's right! The 1980 Honda Civic was a great running car! Small, yes but it ran great!

1980 Honda Civic Hella lot Bigger than the Smart Car!

I believe that we can build a great looking, good size car that runs on clean fuel. (Peanut Oil) Electricity and Biodiesil. This is America!

Lets Pretend!

“Let’s Pretend”

You walked across the room
Casual hello
Faint scent of perfume
I smile, happy to be, if not standing, next to you, at least near you.

Every waking moment is a game of pretend
Let’s pretend that my blood pressure doesn’t
Rise that I don’t even notice your eyes
That your scents so rancid it makes me cry

Let’s pretend

I don’t melt when you pass my way
That I don’t live for this moment everyday

Let’s pretend
My feelings are all platonic
That when I finally scoop you up and kiss you from head to toe
It’s actually quite ironic
Let’s pretend!

New Poetry! Traveling East!

I meditate on traveling East

trepidation stills my will

what will I behold if I choose to travel the east ?

will I reach Nirvana or be devoured by the beast?

Tomes on Alchemy and metaphysics line my shelf

will my search end in me discovering the essence of knowledge of Self?

or after all the trails and tests will I just be alone?

Thirst unquenched nerves unclenched?
Will my mind be expanded 360 degrees? Or will my soul spin right off it's axis?
Will I discover inner light or cold hard reality like death and taxes?
Traveling East?

Spiritual Food For Thought! Bamba on Faith!

A European Governor satisfied that Senegal had been conquered sent out an edict calling for all the regions religious leaders. The religious leaders arrived, each group well represented to hear the Governor.

The Governor: Go back to your people and tell them they are to worship as my people do. You will renounce your religions and your ways.

While there was grumbling, only one Holy Man stepped forward to speak.

"YOU ARE NOTHING! THESE RELIGIONS HAVE BEEN HERE LONGER THAN YOU OR I...

AND I WILL NOT RENOUNCE MINE!

The Pass Over Begins!

1. The Lord God (IAM) spoke to Moses and Aaron in Kemet. (Egypt) This month, for you is the first of months; You shall make it the first month of the year. Speak to the whole community of Israel and say to them: On the 10th day of this month let every Man take a lamb or a kid one for each household.

6. Your lamb or kid must be without blemish. A yearling male. You must keep it safe until the 14th day of the month. In the assembly of Israel, You will slaughter the victim between dusk and dark. They must take some of the blood and smear it on the two door posts and the lintel of every house in which they eat the lamb. On that night they shall eat the flesh roasted on the fire, they shall eat it with unleavened cakes and bitter herbs.

11. You must eat it in urgent haste, It is the Lord's (IAM) Passover. On that night I shall pass through the land of Kemet (Egypt) and kill every first born of man and beast. Thus will I execute the judgement, I the Lord, against all the gods of Kemet. (Egypt) And as for you, the blood will be a sign on the houses in which you are: When I see the blood I will pass over you; The mortal blow shall not touch you, when I strike the land of Kemet. (Egypt)

14. You shall keep this day as a day of Remembrance, you shall make it a pilgrim feast and keep it from generation to generation for all time. The Book of Exodus Chapter 12 The New English Bible humbly paraphrase.

Take time to read the chapter, meditate and then pray on the reading of the words. Asking for understanding.

It is with this that PASSOVER begins. A terrible act resulting in the liberation of an Oppressed Beloved of God. (IAM) One must remember that while the Liberation was for One and All Equally given by the God (IAM) Man, still had to do his part. He was expected to have Faith in the Word of God (IAM) as it came through his servants, then act by performing the Ritual. The work or Ritual acted as a sign of Obedience and Submission under God. (IAM)

To my families, regardless of Religion or Faith, or lack there of, Be Blessed! Happy Passover!

Mumia Abu Jamal Denied New Trail!

NPR Journalist Mumia Abu Jamal

This weekend United States Members of the Congressional Black Caucus visited Cuba as President Obama ponders opening travel to the Communist State. This is long overdue as the United States has long ago opened trade with both Communist China and Vietnam. It is just not pragmatic to continue a blockade after the Soviets have disintegrated. I believe firmly that if trade was to open and travel was to be allowed to Cuba that this was be the death knell of the so called Communist state.

But on Monday, April 6, 2009 one day after Palm Sunday and three days after the horrible massacre in New York, I find myself vexed. What about the real justice? JUSTICE! Remember that word and what it means?

Mumia Abu Jamal was denied a new trail by the Supreme Court. While this was not unexpected it is tragic. There are enough inequalities in the original trail known years ago to warrant it. We know about COINTELPRO and what it did to the Panthers and other political movements in 1960's and 70's. I believe that there are still people imprisoned unfairly today who should have been released decades ago. Some have, one way or another. Albert "Nuh" Bell has passed on. William Brent has gone into the great rest as well. Elmer Geronimo Ji Jaga Pratt has been released for almost a decade now.
But now that Cuba may open what of the forgotten ones here? Marshall Eddie Conway still resides in a Baltimore Prison, the evidence of COINTELPRO tampering is still strong. What about Assatta Shukur? Can she get Justice in America? There was evidence that she was innocent in 1973 yet still she was convicted and I do not believe that the American Congress has the spine to stand up for what is fair and right.

God Mama of Cuba Hip Hop/Poet Activist Nehanda Abiodun

I hope to be proven wrong. Obama, a Black Man was elected to the Presidency! Something that I never thought I would be privy to see in my lifetime so anything is possible. Praise God! (IAM)

Yet, what about Assata? What about Nehanda Abiodun, an Acupuncturist, political activist and Black Liberation Army member? What about her? She too resides in exile. She too is accused of crimes? Armored car vehicle robberies and aiding in the escape of Assata Shukur.

Will Americans allow them to be dragged back to America when their Cuban benefactors show themselves to be the capitalists they truly want to be? What about Justice? What about Fairness? These folks have received neither.

It would seem that we, including all too many political activists, who in their youth stood alongside of these people have forgotten or simply decided that the war is lost and they might as well have sold out. Some probably have. They forgot their friends behind the walls and across the ocean. The wrote and sold books and tshirts talking about the sixties as if what had occurred was over and done.

Baltimore Black Panther Party Leader Marshall "Eddie" Conway

What about Eddie? What about Nehanda and Mutulu? What about Mumia?

Maybe you feel that they are just bank robbers and cop killers and don't deserve anymore than a jail cell or worse. But Americans are supposed to care about Justice and Fairness. It's supposed to be in our DNA. Will you sleep knowing that you didn't do everything to make sure that Justice and Fairness was achieved? Don't allow yourself to sleep any longer not knowing for sure if these folks are truly innocent or guilty! Don't go any further if they just happened to support politics you don't like. This is not politics! JUSTICE NEVER IS!

Will You? Think on that?

BE Careful! BE Mindful! BE Prayerful!

Spiritual Food For Thought!

Do Not Fear

"Do not fear, for I am with you." Genesis 26:24

After the Philistines ceased to quarrel with Isaac over the water supplies, Yahveh spoke to him, saying: "I will bless you and make your children many for the sake of My servant, Abraham."
On three separate occasions in the book of Genesis Yahveh said - 'do not fear'. The first time was to Abraham, after his successful rescue of Lot in the war against the four kings: "Do not fear Abram, I will shield you; your reward will be very great." Genesis 15:1

The second time was here - to Isaac - after his success in obtaining an uncontested source of water. And the third was to Jacob, on his way to Egypt to be reunited with Joseph, after learning that he was still alive and ruling over Egypt: "Do not fear in going down to Egypt, for I will make you into a great nation." Genesis 46:3

Yahveh did not speak these words to Abraham when he was told, "Go to the land, which I shall show you." Genesis 12:1 Nor to Isaac when he was a stranger in the land of Abimelech. Nor to Jacob, when he fled to Laban, or was about to face Esau and his four hundred men on his return. On the contrary, "Do not fear" came at times of success, not of imminent disaster. Why?
Personal success can be as stressful as personal failure, as the following illustrates:

A family in Jerusalem lived for nearly a decade in a crowded and not very comfortable apartment. At the end of that period, they managed to put enough money together to purchase a place in a prestigious neighborhood. The parents would have more workspace and the children, rooms of their own, with air conditioning. Perfect! The wife was so happy that she declared that she would stay there even if she won the lottery - she'd pay off the mortgage and stay put. But there was more stress than joy as move-in day drew nearer.
Successes bring challenges and fears of its own, especially as it opens a new chapter of experiences. And it can be all the lonelier, as people who have not been in that situation do not understand. But Yahveh did understand and He showed it with those words to the Patriarchs - 'Do not fear'.

May the Lord (IAM) add a blessing to the reading of his Word!

This is just Funnie!

One day I met a sweet gentleman and fell in love. When it became apparent that we would marry, I made the supreme sacrifice and gave up beans.

Some months later, on my birthday, my car broke down on the way home from work. Since I lived in the countryside I called my husband and told him that I would be late because I had to walk home.

On my way, I passed by a small diner and the odor of baked beans was more than I could stand. With miles to walk, I figured that I would walk off any ill effects by the time I reached home, so I stopped at the diner and before I knew it, I had consumed three large orders of baked beans.

All the way home, I made sure that I released all the gas. Upon my arrival, my husband seemed excited to see! me and exclaimed delightedly: "Darling I have a surprise for dinner tonight."

He then blindfolded me and led me to my chair at the dinner table. I took a seat and just as he was about to remove my blindfold, the telephone rang. He made me promise not to touch the blindfold until he returned and went to answer the call.

The baked beans I had consumed were still affecting me and the pressure was becoming most unbearable, so while my husband was out of the room I seized the opportunity, shifted my weight to one leg and let one go.

It was not only loud, but it smelled like a fertilizer truck running over a skunk in front of a pulpwood mill. I took my napkin from my lap and fanned the air around me vigorously. Then, shifting to the other cheek, I ripped off three more.

The stink was worse than cooked cabbage. Keeping my ears carefully tuned to the conversation in the other room, I went on like this for another few minutes. The pleasure was indescribable.

When eventually the telephone farewells signaled the end of my freedom, I quickly fanned the air a few more times with my napkin, placed it on my lap and folded my hands back on it feeling very relieved and pleased with myself. My face must have been the picture of innocence when my husband returned, apologizing for taking so long.

He asked me if I had peeked through the blindfold, and I assured him I had not. At this point, he removed the blindfold, and twelve dinner guests seated around the table chorused: "Happy Birthday!" I fainted!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WTF? Part 2

Have you watched or listened to the news lately? My Goodness! What really gets me is the criminal mentality that the politricknicians (politician plus trickster technicians) have. Eight years where Democratic values and practices were all but abandoned, Twenty some odd years of de regulation and almost thirty years of flat labor wages. And now as Brother Minster Malcom said the Chickens have come home to roost and these jokers are saying it ain't my fault.

Well, I heard this years ago that so goes GM so goes the country. Well, GM is in the toilet and sooo the country. The time has come for some real talk.

All these Politricknicians who still want to use all these dead ideas, still want to push these old agendas, still want to play all these old games need to go. They need to GO!

Barack Hussain Obama, BAM BAM to y'all long time readers, has won the Presidency on a platform of CHANGE and the Democrats had better realize that means THEM too. The REPUBs had better realize that hey YOU LOST and THERE's A goood G/Damn bunch of reasons you LOST.

Dead ideas, and even worse, you practiced them for Eight full years and we can see where it got us. Real Talk!

President Bam Bam has reached out to you but you won't work with him unless he uses your DEAD IDEAS and PRACTICES. YOUR PARTY DID NOT WIN THE ELECTION! YOUR CANDIDATE DID NOT WIN THE ELECTION! PRESIDENT BAM BAM DOES NOT HAVE TO ASK FOR YOUR HELP!

He can do just like BUSH did and steamroll right over you, your people and the country but he's trying to do what's best for the country. THE WHOLE COUNTRY even the parts that say he's a SOCIALIST, an ELITIST, An EFFIN MONKEY! THE Ones that call his WIFE and KIDS TRASH or STROKLEY CARMICHAEL in a SKIRT! Them that say he's a MUSLIM when he's a CHRISTIAN, says he's NOT AN AMERICAN, when he's born RIGHT HERE!

The Country's ship is sinking and guess what you're in the Boat too. So get off your bums and come up with some new ideas instead of the old, outdated bad ones cause damn it if We sink! YOU SINK!

What's your point Mista Jaycee? Is this just a rant?

No, it's not just a rant! We've got to make some hard choices. We must cut back on some things and revamp how we gonna do things but most of all we can not LOSE HOPE!

We must be forever vigilant and hold on to HOPE!

BE Careful! BE Mindful! BE Prayerful!
