I met Roland Gresham years ago when I first went to college. He was friendly, approachable and a seriously talented musician. When you go to Roland's website and grab his latest, it's gonna say Gospel Jazz, a label I personally despise but in Roland's case I'll make an exception because Roland Praises! Proclaims! and Edifies! The people with the Gospel of Christ!
He plays in the tradition of Wes Montgomery, Grant Green and George Benson. His soloing is tasty and his tone has that special feel, that breezy feel!
