Don't Let The Republicans in the Senate Con YOU!

I don't know about y'all but I've been listening to some of the updates on the Sotomayor confirmation hearings and I feel that the Repubs are doing their best to con us. That being said, The Democrats are still being spineless wimps cause I don't hear the real questions being asked. Even Worse, The President, Barack "Bam Bam" Obama's nominee is not getting a fair shake.

Let me say this first. W. Bush got two nominees confirmed to the highest court in the land when his approval ratings were at the all time low. The Dems were courteous to that dude. Truthfully he should not have been able to recension a pen with all the B/S that had gone on during his administration.


The Republicans say they are concerned with ACTIVIST JUDGES being appointed to the bench who would legislate from the bench and take away the will of the people. Crock!


Now on the surface, this sounds like a reasonable, concern, right? But if you nominate someone based on their LIBERAL or CONSERVATIVE LEANINGS then isn't that a form of ACTIVISM?

Isn't that an attempt to PUSH the COURT into a PARTICULAR direction? Isn't that an attempt to if not determine an outcome or at least the SCOPE of ruling?



So the ACTIVIST tag is a CROCK! A JUDGES job is to ultimately decide a case. They use the law, listen to the Lawyers (who represent activists) and while they follow the rules set by the congress and the common law They use their own judgement too. Thier own commonsense!



So this Empathy tag......... CROCK!

If a judge is merciful! That's good! Empathy means that she can relate or feel what each or a side might Feel. That's a good thing! We are appointing a Human Being not a Robot! She is not there on the bench now and will not be on the Supreme Court bench as a Robot either. A judges job is not just to be an interpreter of the Law but Justice, Justice and Equality is what a judge is supposed to be about.

Last thing. What's up with the questions of will she use her own point of View? So what if she mentions her Ethnic Background. Hey Congress and Senators! Guess What? There are Lawyers who are Ethnic who have not forgotten being Poor and discriminated against.

I can't believe there are people who can fix they minds to think like this. A Black Cop in plains clothes was shot and killed by a White Cop just last week. What would that Black Cop have said about how the Police treat Black Folks? Would he have said that Cops never Eff with Black Folks? Nah! Why should a Judge not add their experience no matter how different it's been from America's. America's experience has been WHITE MALES ruling! That singular viewpoint has to change!
