So, What happened to The Change?

Ok, so we now know, what we've always known. Obama is not super dude! He can't fix everything in a single stroke of the pen. But that does not absolve you from the responsibility of doing your part. Have you contacted your representative and those who plan on running for office?

If not, why not?

See, Obama is not the only one crying for change! I want and need better health care. I want more money spent on education! I want a large reduction in prison building and upkeep.

Ask yourself. How are we doing in America after building all these prisons? We incarcerate more people than any other country. Has it made us safer. Politicians constantly run on getting tough on crime. Has any and I mean, ANY of the crime measures enacted deterred anyone from crime?

Why are we not asking those questions?

Why are Public Highways being built with Private money for Private contractors? Did the State run out of money? Did the State or the Federal Government forget how to do it? Perhaps it's cheaper this way? Is it?

Why do so many schools in Los Angeles County look like prison yards? The basketball courts and playgrounds are fenced in and on the 2nd level of a former office buildings. Why?

The State of California is in the toilet? Why was Arnold not allowed to fix it? What happened? Is it the way we collect taxes? Warren Buffet seemed to think so. He said we didn't tax homes properly. He paid more in taxes for his home in Nebraska than for his home in Newport Beach.
A Billionaire said that!

So, when our we gonna see some change? When you start making it!

BE Mindful! BE Prayerful!BE Careful!

Exactly, if one depends on politicians, never gonna happen. They are constrained by so many things.

Insightful questions... if only we had logically applied answers we could solve these problems.

Prop. 13 (I think) has older homeowner happy but younger new homeowners paying higher taxes.
I'd listen to Buffet.

Why do you put forth the notion that the Political Domain is the only means by which these problems that you speak of can be addressed?

You don't want "more money spent on education". You want "more of OTHER PEOPLE'S MONEY spent on education".

How about paring up in the conscious of a community the notion that their own increased investment in academics (especially that which goes on outside of the classroom ) translates into untold wealth in the future?
Thus by having them keep conscious focus upon some greater purpose - they won't need to lobby elected officials to send resources that were generated outside of their domain into it so that they can live a higher standard of living than what is organically possible via their own productivity?

Hi Constructive Feedback!
What the heck are you saying? Good to see you and I want to see ya here more. That said,
What???????!!!!!
OPM? WE don't live as private feifdoms. WE live with one another and since we have public education and a tax code that insists that we all pay into it somehow some way then darn it I want the money that taken from me to be put to use in ways that I would spend the money that I keep. I keep a clean house, want clean streets, I enjoy police protection but don't want 1000 more cops if there has been no money invested in crime prevention programs and rehabilation to speed the decline in relapse. I believe this is fair.

By the way. Did I say How much I enjoy that you finally have come here? I do.

You are exactly right on this! What are we doing? Honestly I'm still trying to see what the deal is with the healthcare. I'm not a big fan of government funded programs but I've been watching this one closely...but government funded just means tax funded right? *Kanye Shrugs*

Sincerely,

Go

Miss Jaycee:

I need some money.
When can I come over and pick up OUR money from YOUR purse?

Why not support "Single Payer Health Care FACILITIES"? Have the government pay for all of the services within, no need for insurance.

The caviat: DO NOT pretend that this facility has an obligation to keep up with a PRIVATE facility in which individuals use their private property to purchase the "health care technology" that they choose to with their money.
