Just go Shopping! You're Being Conned! Part 7

After 9-11 with America's infrastructure in danger, people in fear, awe, anger and shock we did not receive the call of sacrifice and conservation issued by previous heads of state. We were told to Go Shopping by President Select Bush! (He wasn't elected the first term remember?)

Go Shopping!

We shouldn't do that this time. Even if you are still doing well, we should not do that!

But Mista Jaycee, the deals are soooo great! Con!

I know they are on the front end but remember what happens on the back end. Great deal in front, high credit interest rates on the back! Overextended high credit charges, collection agency blues, ruined credit reports? Easy financing is predatory and we need to sit this one out!

Instead spend time with the fam, watch a movie, take time to empty your closets and cabinets and donate them to your local food banks, churches and Salvation Army stores!

But those deals?

Those deals will be there in a couple of days, hell, Xmas is right around the corner and still folks will need our help!

Black Friday! (1st day of shopping for the season) is a con!

It's there to continue the current system, the status quo! As long as we are shopping under the current terms and conditions, businesses have no motivation to change or alter the way they do business with you!

Citibank, The Auto industry and the rest have not changed one iota of their business tactics or plans! They come to the taxpayer the Jamal Six pack and the Julia Nurse in training for mercy when facing imminent financial doooooom! Where was that same compassion when business and congress passed that despicable bankruptcy law?

Where was the mercy when business foreclosed on all those homes? When it was revealed that predatory lending practices were the norm?

Temptation! Goooooo Shopping!

Wisdom! Don't! Empty your closets and cabinets and donate to Goodwill and the Salvation Army or the Midnight Mission.

Conserve! Look to the future!

BE Careful! BE Mindful! BE Prayerful!

Jaycee

I did not get my booty up this morning to go shopping. Instead I took that time to reflect. So I am very proud of myself :)

Great advice, Jaycee, and I especially like the part about emptying our closets and donating crap from past 'good' deals. I'm finally able to sit down, read and write, and hope to mention some wild stuff I saw at Best Buy in my next post. Take care!

Don't donate crap but hey God (IAM) has been wonderful to each of us and we sho' haven't starved. There are some clothes I'm sure we can't fit and even if we wear them still, we probally shouldn't! Donate them.

Players face it, if you passed 40 or around that, the Laker jersey can only be worn at special times, if you a tennis shoe pimp time to dress like a player ya age and move up to some loafers, some nunn bush, something dig?

Playerettes, thanks to a great diet and yoga and working out you look great! But you ain't 20 no more so even though you got the body of a twenty year old ya should'nt dress like one. Dress your age not your size!

Amen to that, Jaycee. When I spoke of crap, I didn't mean it literally, I'd never give anyone anything so used or worn they wouldn't want it. You're so right, about tossing out that nice stuff, including games and quality books that you or the kids will never be able to wear again or use.

Hey there Mista Jaycee!!

There are so many people who KNOW that they can't afford to spend a quarter and they are out there at the stores with their friends just TRYING to show that they can afford whatever their friends are interested in...it's all about pride and ego for the compulsive shopper who remains in debt...

I didn't go into ONE store today...not one.....

Hey Standtall,
I am familiar with Sista Jaycee. She has great taste in names! I have read her stuff. However I am Mista Jaycee, That Lunatic Mista Jaycee, Jaycee the Poet, and Jaycee Williams the Poet. I am put in work on my name and names for over twenty years starting as a music producer in Los Angeles. You will always see Mista Jaycee so folks know there is a difference between the two, but be advised my names are trademarked and I publish and perform under these names.
With Love
Mista Jaycee

You've got to think for yourself now days 'cause there is always someone trying to con you out of your money. Hell, they stay up at night thinking of ways to steal from you!

When I buy, I buy because "I" want to buy, not because someone has convinced me otherwise. The wallet stays shut if I'm not interested.

I also don't buy a lot of b*llsh*t electronics! Don't you love it when you seen these dummies CAMPED OUT FOR DAYS outside of these electronic stores? And I know you're laughing your a** off! (LMBAO)

Every year when this happens I always think this is how many followers there are in this country. People tell you for no reason that stupid things are on sale and all the sheep get up and go herd through the gates for a toaster.
