Deu 15:11
“For there will never cease to be poor in the land. Therefore I command you, ‘You shall open wide your hand to your brother, to the needy and to the poor, in your land.’

Pro 14:31
Whoever oppresses a poor man insults his Maker, but he who is generous to the needy honors him.

Pro 31:8
Open your mouth for the mute, for the rights of all who are destitute.[fn3]

Pro 31:9

A choice of Weapons...okay I don't know about this one. When I was married my husband was really into Christian beliefs...he would always tell me wait on discernment (hope I spelled that right) from the Lord.

Well one day I saw this homeless man that I see everywhere running people off from the horrible smell in walmart. And I thought " Lord, I'm going to bless this man with a meal and I pray this is your will"

So I buy him a hamburger combo with drink and fries as he sits in the diner and bring it over to him. He looks at me and say " Is this for me?" I said " yes sir it is" I thought he would have been grateful as I would have it if were me.

He then says maam? Do you have some change?

Personally I was offended and at the moment my spirit man would not resurface. I just looked at him and said " No sir I don't"

Now maybe because my faith wasn't strong I misread instruction from the Lord for my own sympathy for this brother...but I really didn't appreciate that.

Sorry to blog in your comment section.

Hey Go B,
You did what you were suposed to do. If the Lord told you to preach and you went and did it but no one accepted Jesus when you were done, that does not mean that the Lord's work was not done, it was but now the Lord has a job that he is doing alone that you have no part in. You did your part. The spirits that got that dude to the point he was homeless still wanted the change.

But do you think if you're poor, you would have to be a lot stronger than someone who does indeed have money? It's so much easier to be generous when you have something extra to give.

I guess that's not always the case in having money makes you more generous. Some of the stingiest mofos out here are the wealthy. Just look at the financial situation in our country. Greedy mofos GOT us here!

i like these a lot. i also personally believe in "noblesse oblige" that the wealthy should this belief & give to the poor.
